Beta
Version 1.1.3
October 2026 Android iOSWhat's New
Multiple guardians per protected user
Up to 3 active guardians are now supported simultaneously (previously limited to 1).
What changes:
Multiple guardians per protected user
Up to 3 active guardians are now supported simultaneously (previously limited to 1).
What changes:
- When an SOS is triggered, all active guardians are notified at the same time
- The alert is shared: if one guardian resolves it, it closes for everyone
- The 3-guardian quota is enforced at both invitation and acceptance
Admin notifications visible in the app
Messages broadcast by the Donovan team now appear in the notifications screen, with a dedicated icon (megaphone).
What changes:
- Broadcasts received in the foreground are added to the notification list
- Broadcasts received in the background or when the app is closed are added upon the next tap
Alert notification email
It is now possible to set a dedicated email address for alert notifications, separate from the login email.
What changes:
- New "Alert email" field in the My Profile screen
- If set, SOS alert emails are sent to this address
- If not set, the login email is used (no change in behaviour)
- Particularly useful for Apple users whose login email is an opaque relay address
Bug Fixes
Incomplete profile after Apple sign-in
Users who signed up via Apple Sign In without transmitting their name (normal behaviour after the first sign-in) were identified by their opaque Apple identifier.
What changes:
- The app automatically detects an incomplete profile and redirects to the name edit screen
- The workaround is not possible: navigation is blocked until a name is entered
- Android is not affected
Smart redirect on the download page
The `/telecharger` (and `/en/download`) page now redirects directly to the appropriate store based on the device.
What changes:
- iOS > App Store
- Android > Play Store
- Others > standard download page

Version 1.1.2
October 2026Bug fixes
Automatic detection - iOS and Android
Fixed several issues that caused slow or incorrect activity detection.
What changes for the user:
Automatic detection - iOS and Android
Fixed several issues that caused slow or incorrect activity detection.
What changes for the user:
- Running is now detected as running, not walking
- Detection delay matches the chosen setting (no more 5-minute waits)
- Detection works correctly on both iOS and Android
Technical notes:
- iOS: removed the `.low` confidence filter — CMMotion frequently classifies running as `.low` for the first 1-2 minutes before settling; this filter was silently discarding the start of every session
- iOS: the streak algorithm now tolerates short interruptions (e.g. a brief "walking" sample in the middle of a run) without resetting the counter — hard resets on stationary/automotive are preserved
- iOS: foreground poll look-back window increased from `minDuration+60s` to `3×minDuration (min 3 min)` so a full streak always fits within the query window
- iOS: foreground polls (`queryNow`) no longer update the `lastCheckDate` checkpoint — that timestamp is reserved for BGAppRefreshTask
- Android: the duration threshold was completely ignored (Activity Transition API fires immediately on the first ENTER event). A confirmation timer now runs on the Dart side; if an EXIT transition arrives before it fires, the trigger is cancelled. EXIT transitions are now registered in `ActivityTransitionManager`.
What's New
Detection sensitivity
The "Confirmation delay" slider has been replaced with a clearer sensitivity selector.
Where to find it: Settings > Automatic detection > Detection sensitivity
Level | Behaviour
- Very sensitive | Starts after 30s - may pick up brisk walking
- Sensitive _(default)_ | Starts after 1 min - recommended
- Less sensitive | Starts after 2 min - fewer false positives
Profile editing
You can now update your display name and username directly from the app.
Where to find it: Settings > My profile
- Edit your display name (first name, nickname - visible to your contacts)
- Edit your username (unique handle used for invitations)
- Real-time validation: username availability is checked server-side and conflicts are surfaced immediately

Version 1.0.18
October 2026What's new
- Configurable detection threshold — Choose how long Donovan must detect activity before starting a watch session (15 s to 2 min).
- Account deletion — Available from Settings and from your online account space.
Improvements
- Settings — Save button now visible at the bottom of the page; language is now included in the save.
- Registration — Fields appear progressively as you fill them in.
- Registration — Real-time validation with a green indicator when a field is correct.
- Registration — Username is pre-filled automatically from the name entered.
- Registration — Immediate check if email or username is already taken.
- Registration — Password must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one digit.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a crash on automatic session start on Android 14+.
- Automatically started sessions are now correctly saved to the database.
Technical Note:
- ANDROID: Removed `FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH` from the manifest using `tools:node=“remove”` — the permission was injected by the `activity_recognition_flutter` plugin but was not used by the app
- ANDROID: `LiveUpdateService`: `foregroundServiceType` reduced to `specialUse` only (removal of `location`, which belongs to the geolocator service)
- iOS: Replaced the real-time stream `CMMotionActivityManager.startActivityUpdates` with a 30-second timer → native `queryNow`, identical to the existing `BGAppRefreshTask` mechanism — removes the plugin’s use of internal GPS
- iOS: `_triggerStart` now checks the opt-out window (10 minutes after “Ignore”)
- iOS/Android standardization: Both platforms now follow the flow `backgroundActivityDetected → _handleNativeCall → _triggerStart`
- iOS/Android standardization: Minimum threshold raised from 15 seconds to 30 seconds in the settings

- Guardian / protected system — Each user can invite a trusted contact to watch over them. The connection is mutual and explicit.
- Push notifications — Real-time alerts by push notification: alert trigger, resolution, pairing requests.
- Privacy by design — No location is shared as long as everything is fine. Location is only transmitted during an active alert.
